Child human trafficking is the second largest organized crime in the world and people don’t realize how prevalent it is in our everyday surroundings. It’s not just happening in Asia and Africa, but the United States is experiencing the same wrongdoing. It’s a huge problem that goes unseen and rarely ever acknowledged as a serious corruption to the youth and their society. I’m advocating for the hundreds of young girls that are struggling everyday to get out of a life that’s built on having their lives taken straight out of their hands and into ones that weaken them each time.
By elevating it on a bigger scale, I want my target audience to stop and reflect on what this issue is about. More importantly, how it’s affecting the youth and the community around you. This is a moment for people to educate themselves on the issue, rather than passing by it and feeling sorry. It’s an opportunity to learn more and then using that information to reach others’ to feel the need to learn about it as well. It’s a chain effect towards spreading awareness and little things that can be the change.
